Fall Luncheon
Thank you for joining us at the 2026 Fall Luncheon. Together, with nearly 500 people in attendance, we exceeded our $10,000 matching challenge.
Our keynote speaker, Amy Downs, reminded us that hope isn’t something we simply feel — it’s something we do. As an Oklahoma City bombing survivor who rebuilt her life against impossible odds, Amy’s story was a powerful testament to the idea that hope becomes real through action, one deliberate step at a time.
That message is exactly what you put into practice by giving today. Your gift is hope in action — turning compassion into real support for women and girls across our community. Because of your generosity, the Women’s Fund can continue funding programs that open doors, build confidence, and create lasting opportunity for those who need it most.
Amy’s journey showed us that transformation is possible even after the darkest moments, but only when hope is paired with action. Thank you for being part of that action with us. Your belief in our mission — expressed not just in words, but in your giving — is helping write the next chapter for so many women and girls in Greater La Crosse.

Featuring Keynote Speaker — Amy Downs
Be engaged, inspired and entertained as we celebrate our collective power to uplift women and girls and bring meaningful change to our community.
In 1995, Amy was one of the last survivors to be pulled from the rubble following the Oklahoma City bombing which killed 168 people including 18 of her 33 co-workers at the Federal Employees Credit Union.
Embracing her second chance at life, Amy launched a campaign of self-improvement and empowerment. She went from an unhealthy couch potato to completing a full Ironman Triathlon. From flunking out of math class to earning her master’s degree in Business Administration. From a teller to CEO of the same credit union nearly destroyed in the bombing.
Amy is a full time speaker and author of Hope is a Verb, which is available on Amazon. Most recently, Amy was featured in two documentaries produced by National Geographic and Netflix which have both been nominated for Emmy Awards.
