Founders Society

Planned Giving Program

A planned gift costs you nothing today, but it guarantees that the barriers we’re solving now stay solved — for the daughters, granddaughters, and other women who come after. It’s a way to say: this work doesn’t stop with me.

Planned Giving Program

Every woman who crosses a barrier — to a job, a home, a diploma — does it because someone made the path possible. The Founders Society honors donors who ensure that path stays open for generations of women in Greater La Crosse.

Membership is open to anyone who includes the Women’s Fund of Greater La Crosse, Inc. in their long-term giving plans, including:

  • A gift in your will or trust
  • A beneficiary designation on a retirement account, life insurance policy, or donor-advised fund
  • A gift of appreciated stock, real estate, or other assets
  • There is no minimum gift size to join. What matters is the decision to make your impact permanent.

As a Founders Society member, you’ll receive:

  • Recognition in our annual report and at our events (or anonymity, if you prefer)
  • Invitations to special gatherings and updates from grantee partners
  • The knowledge that your legacy will keep removing barriers long after your lifetime

Our Founders

signe and roberta

In 1998, Roberta Gelatt and Signe Schroeder initiated a marvelously brazen act. With the bold belief that they could improve the status of women in the Greater La Crosse area, they created what is now Women’s Fund of Greater La Crosse, Inc. Since then, supporters like you have helped us provide over $1,250,000 to programs that enrich the lives of women and girls in our community.

Our Founders Society honors Roberta’s and Signe’s legacy and leadership. They invite you to join them and other like-minded supporters committed to building an equitable future for women and girls.

Founders Society Members

We gratefully acknowledge the legacy of these Founders Society members who are committed to enriching the lives of women and girls for generations to come.
